掃街記

上個禮拜到吉隆坡參加朋友的婚禮。婚禮在禮拜天。
由於提早到達，約了幾個同樣愛好攝影的朋友一起掃街。
順便參觀了聽聞以久的Annexe Gallery.
那一天與阿芳，以一個很特別的方式，在一個特別的地方，重逢。

儘管天氣很熱，詩敏的熱情款待實在感激不盡。
也因爲她，我們過了一個很有人文氣息的一天。

Last day at work in the United States

Yes, today will be last day at work in the United States. Afterall, it's been 5 years working in L.A. I started my 1st job since 2004. I graduated in May 2004 and got my 1st job starting August 02, 2004 (Monday). Now, my last working day in L.A. falls on July 31, 2009 (Friday). I would say it's a round up 5 years work (precisely...pls count out weekends). :-)

Sounds like a perfect ending, right? (It's actually not the end, it's just the beginning of another end)

So, what am I going to do next? Honestly speaking, I don't quite sure. I am working through my path to be a photographer. It's a total change in my career path. I don't know if I am going to be successful, but I will try my best to strive through it.

I am going to start my career in Malaysia. Please pray/wish me best of luck.

Photo Critics

Ok, this is my first time to do photo critic. I don't normally do this but this picture (see below) really make me laughed. I came across this picture when I was reading an online newspaper, it was on the headline. The news itself didn't capture my attention but the photo did.

So, what's wrong with this pic? Facial expression? The make up? Or, maybe white balance? ah! could be the hair-style....ok, what I think is the combination of all. Sorry dude, I don't mean to offend anyone, after all, you are PM's wife!

Ok, folks, if I ended up in the jail, you know what happen. Hopefully no one will put on handscuff when I return home for good in October! ^_^ (btw, the journalist must have hated her so much that he/she would put this pic as part of the news) LOL ;-)

My 1st Experience on Studio Portrait Shots

第一次拍Studio Portrait Shots, 第一次所以戰戰兢兢的，老師說一個人只能拍三張，我就乖乖的只拍三張，怎麽知道，那些經驗老到的學生，竟然不管老師的指示都take their own time。真是的，下次，我也不理會他們了。。。

這次的拍攝讓我理解到，it's not just the lighting and technics that we need to take care of, but the model's posing...the model tend to 僵硬after a few pose, so we have to really make them relax, and smile again. I have to read more magazine and think of some good portrait shot, 要不然所以的姿態，姿勢都大同小異。燈光與眼睛的配合，燈光的柔亮度，手搖怎麽擺，眼珠的光反射在哪裏。。。燈光搖擺在那裏。。。oh! so much to learn... but i like it! 雖然早上上了班才去上課，不過一拿起相機，什麽累都忘光了。。。喜歡！

天一亮，就出發

出遊回來，一直都沒有找一個方式真正的記錄這一趟的出遊記。再不寫下來我很快就會忘記了的。

高中畢業刊的Cover page印上這行字，當時的我並不了解這行字的意思，還問朋友是什麽意思。不過過了十年，我慢慢的理解了。

PS 的功能

我一直以来都认为用PS (Photoshop)来edit照片的，都不是真功夫。会用技巧拍出好照片才是真功夫。虽然现在我还是这样认为，不过呢。。。开始有点contradict自己的理念。

那天我开始玩PS,发觉到，其实我如果不用PS，根本就是很难呈现以下照片的效果，我是不是该投降呢？
